Security failure: Protesters break into the Prime Minister's house

After they tried to break into the Knesset yesterday, left-wing protesters reportedly broke in to the Prime Minister's private residence yesterday.

According to a report of Channel 14's Moti Kastel, left-wing, anti-government protesters infiltrated the Prime Minister's house last night, placed a large amount of tires and barrels there and prepared the area for significant disturbances.

According to the information provided, the suspects were not identified by the local security agencies, and their activities were only revealed later when information obtained by the Israel Police was received.

Prime Minister Netanyahu now lives in a private residence in Caesarea, and not the official Prime Minister's home on Jerusalem's Balfour Street, which had a much wider security framework.

The incident marks yet another serious security failure with the Shin Bet internal security service largely responsible. Following the outbreak of the war in Gaza, an impersonator was able to spend considerable time in the vicinity of the Prime Minister.
