Israel-Gaza War, Joe Biden

Prof. Dershowitz blasts Biden: "He doesn't want to lose the Muslim vote"

The Harvard professor and lawyer Alan Dershowitz harshly attacked President Biden for his conduct during the war in Gaza: "You don't win elections in America by turning against our ally."

American-Jewish professor Alan Dershowitz sharply attacked the Biden administration for the difficulties they have recently imposed on Israel.

In an interview with Mark Levin's program on the Fox News network, Dershowitz claimed that the US is allowing Hamas to win, and if it does not change its policy and President Biden does not stand more firmly behind Israel, Hamas will, in fact, win. According to him, the terrorist organization will achieve all its goals to end the possibility of peace with Saudi Arabia and turn the academics and the UN against Israel.

Dershowitz made a comparison between the conduct of the administration in the war with Ukraine and that in Israel. "President Biden got it right a few days ago in Ukraine where he said that we cannot allow Putin to win because if we allow him he will move to Poland and other countries. Why doesn't the same apply to Hamas?"

He also added that "if they are allowed to win, he will...do it again and again. But this time it will not be limited to Israel, he will move to Europe, the USA and our allies. We cannot allow terrorism to win."

The Jewish professor went on to claim that the administration is tying Israel's hands. "For telling Israel we are going to micromanage you, are going to tell you how many soldiers you can send, whether you enter hospitals where they are holding hostages. How can you not go into Rafah where the entire command structure of Hamas is located? If these restrictions are imposed on Israel, this is an invitation to Hamas to do this again and again, because if the crime pays, why not repeat it?"

The presenter then asked why Blinken and Biden behave this way towards Israel. According to Dershowitz, everything is a matter of politics. "It's all about Michigan," he explained. "It's all about trying to make sure he doesn't lose the Muslim vote in Dearborn, the extreme progressive left vote."

According to him, "If the Democrats want to win this election, they will have to move to the center and support Israel. You do not win elections in America by turning against our ally and supporting Hamas. The Biden administration is making a terrible mistake. Biden and Blinken in their hearts support Israel, but in their minds - and the pressures they receive from the left - the extremists of the Democratic Party are violating their own principles and conscience."
