Israel-Gaza War

Hamas afraid of rebellion in Gaza? The group's "urgent" message to its people

In response to the many demonstrations held by residents of Gaza against Hamas leadership in recent days, terrorist factions issued a statement in which they call on the people to remain: "obedient and patient."

Quite a few protests have broken out in Gaza against Hamas in recent weeks in which local residents have been seen calling them murderers and ignoring the suffering of their people. This opposition probably does not come because of their sympathy for Israel, but as a result of the deteriorating conditions in the Strip since the outbreak of the war. Many Gazans suffer from hunger, deplorable living conditions, and remain injured without the ability to receive hospital care.

The residents of Gaza are apparently so fed up with Hamas terrorists hiding in underground tunnels while they suffer the Israeli onslaught that last night (Saturday) numerous demonstrations broke out across the Strip. Their message was clear: "We demand the overthrow of Hamas. Sinwar and Haniyeh: we are the victims."

In response to this drift in public opinion, the Palestinian terrorist factions including Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and various others, have issued an official statement asking the people to unite around them.

"We ask the entire nation to be united on the home front. To be obedient and patient, we need unity because the enemy is not only fighting a certain group but all of us together," they wrote.

In the announcement, they also stated that popular protests are coming at the direct instructions of Israel, which is "trying to cause strife between the people and their leadership."
