"Hamas must be eradicated": US Ambassador-Designate to UN condemns shocking hostage video
After the release of a harrowing Hamas video showing Israeli hostages, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) vows: "We will not rest until all hostages are home and Hamas is destroyed."

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), President Donald Trump’s nominee for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, delivered a fiery speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Saturday, vowing that Hamas “will be eradicated.”
“It has never been more important to show the world’s unequivocal support for Israel,” she declared. “We will not rest until every hostage is brought home and Hamas is eradicated.”
“This past week, we continue to see with crystal clarity that our fight to support Israel and eradicate Hamas is a fight between good and evil, light and darkness, life and death,” she stated. “The world must never forget that Hamas terrorists savagely murdered over 1,200 innocent civilians—including women, children, the elderly and babies—and took hundreds hostage, committing unspeakable atrocities against humanity.”
Stefanik also condemned the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), labeling it a pro-Hamas terrorist group that had committed atrocities on October 7. She pointed to the Trump administration’s previous decision to cut U.S. funding to UNRWA and signaled that even stronger measures would be taken. She vowed that the U.S. would not only defund the agency but dismantle it entirely.
With her remarks at CPAC, Stefanik made clear that if confirmed as U.S. Ambassador to the UN, she would take an aggressive stance against Hamas and against UN institutions she views as complicit in its actions.
