Iran caught smuggling again
WATCH: Hezbollah backers riot as Lebanon blocks Iranian plane after IDF warning
Al-Arabiya: Chaos unfolds in Lebanon after authorities turn away an Iranian plane suspected of carrying funds for Hezbollah, a move urged by Israel’s military to curb Tehran’s financial pipeline to the group.

Pro-Hezbollah protesters in Beirut blocked the airport road tonight (Thursday) to protest the refusal to allow an Iranian plane with Lebanese passengers on board to head to and land at Rafic Hariri International Airport, according to Al-Arabiya.
The protesters blocked off the road to Beirut airport burning tires, amid a state of widespread anger.
The official authorities in Lebanon prevented the landing of an Iranian plane in the country's territory today, following a warning from the IDF not to allow it.
According to a report in Maariv, the assessment among Israeli intelligence officials is that Hezbollah is trying to rehabilitate itself with the money that arrives on civilian planes from Tehran to the airport in Beirut.
The defense establishment believes that the Lebanese are deterred by the IDF Spokesperson's announcements in Arabic, and the decision not to allow the Iranian plane to land stems from his hint that Israel will again operate in the area of the Rafik Hariri airport in the Lebanese capital.
Videos have also spread on social media, showing Lebanese stranded at Tehran airport after Beirut airport refused to receive the plane coming from Iran by revoking the permission granted to it.
Both airports witnessed widespread confusion, and the incident sparked widespread anger among the Lebanese, amid calls for urgent official action.
Israeli military spokesman Avichai Adraee claimed in a statement that there were attempts to smuggle weapons for Hezbollah and that Israel would not allow it.
It is noteworthy that since last October (2024), the Lebanese army has been tasked with supervising the take-off and landing operations of aircraft and inspections inside the airport, in order to avoid any violation that Israel may invoke to disrupt air traffic.
