Poor Yair, Just Can't Catch A Break

A Channel 13 News poll shows Yesh Atid crashing to 8 seats - and would remain with only 5 seats if Naftali Bennett runs in the elections. Religious Zionism remains with only 4 seats, and in a scenario competing against Bennett, doesn't pass the electoral threshold.

A new poll by the "Midgam" institute published tonight (Wednesday) on Channel 13 News shows that Likud maintains its position as the largest party - but the right-wing bloc weakens and remains unable to form a government. Meanwhile, Yesh Atid party crashes, while the State Camp becomes the largest opposition faction.

According to the poll, if elections were held today, the mandate map would look like this: Likud - 26 seats. State Camp - 17 seats. Yisrael Beiteinu - 16 seats. Democrats led by Yair Golan - 12. Shas - 10. Otzma Yehudit - 9. Yesh Atid - 8. United Torah Judaism - 7. Hadash-Ta'al - 6. Ra'am - 5. Religious Zionism - 4. Gideon Sa'ar's State Right and Balad do not pass the electoral threshold.

By blocs: The two blocs would be roughly equal, with coalition parties receive 56 seats, the non-Netanyahu camp receives 58 seats, and Hadash-Ta'al receives 6.

If Bennett Runs - Lapid with Only 5 Seats

The poll also examined a scenario where a new party led by former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett would run in the elections. In this case, Bennett's party would be the largest with 29 seats, while Likud drops to 24 seats. The Democrats would receive 11 seats, and Shas remains with 10 seats. The Mamlachti Camp and Yisrael Beiteinu with 9 seats each, Otzma Yehudit - 8 seats, United Torah Judaism - 6 seats, Yesh Atid - 5 seats, Hadash-Ta'al - 5 seats, and Ra'am - 4 seats.

In this scenario, Religious Zionism led by Bezalel Smotrich also fails to pass the electoral threshold alongside State Right and Balad. By blocs - coalition parties with only 48 seats, while opposition parties with 72.
