They should be scared of us

"We are not sitting ducks": Victim's daughter demands action after Kedumim attack

Rachel Cohen’s daughter calls for tough measures to restore security in Judea and Samaria following her mother’s murder in a shooting terror attack.

Naomi Cohen Azoulay, the daughter of Rachel Cohen, who was murdered in the shooting attack near Kedumim, issued a strong call to the military echelon and the government today (Wednesday) to act aggressively for the security of the residents of Judea and Samaria, and stressed the need for determined military action that will provide them with real protection: "We demand protection – we are here to stay."

Rachel's daughter clarified the severe sense of insecurity experienced by the residents of the area: "I just want to say that we are not here to be sitting ducks. We ask that the army and all the security personnel do everything, but everything, in order to give us security and protection, so that we will feel safe here on the roads. We are here to stay, we will not move from here, but we demand protection."

According to her, closures and operations should be carried out within the villages from which the attacks originate, and not be satisfied with measures such as bypass roads: "Close them, set curfews, enter and carry out operations there. All these bypass roads don't necessarily always provide the solution, because we travel with them on the same roads. That's not the solution."

"The solution is simply to make them stop. Not to let them drive on the roads, to close their shops for months," Naomi suggested, stressing that everything possible should be done in their villages "so that they really understand that their despicable acts have a very heavy price."
