Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will reportedly not attend the 80th anniversary of Auschwitz's liberation for fear of being arrested due to the ICC warrant against him, according to a Polish report noted in Israel Hayom.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has already appealed against the decision to issue warrants against him and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes in Gaza, on the grounds that Israel is not a signatory to the Rome treaty and that the ICC has no authority over the matter.

A number of countries have already said they will not enforce the ICC warrant against Netanyahu, such as Argentina. France has also said that the state organs will consider him to be immune while on French soil. The United Kingdom, on the other hand, said that Netanyahu would be detained if he entered Britain.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, meanwhile, said that the ICC warrant is too lenient for Netanyahu's alleged crimes and that he should instead be tried and executed for them.
