With Donald Trump's reelection, some people in Prime Minister Netanyahu's entourage are beginning to discuss the possibility of Israeli sovereignty and annexation of parts of Judea and Samaria, according to Israel Hayom.
These ideas are no longer within the realm of abstract ideas and slogans, and people in the Prime Minister's Office have begun working on the first stages of a plan to annex primarily areas considered to be within the national consensus: Maaleh Edumim, the Jordan Valley, and the Eztion Bloc south of Jerusalem.
Nevertheless, the Netanyahu government is being careful not to declare annexation as a present rather than future goal, and they are also looking to avoid angering Trump's people, and are waiting to see who will man key positions in the incoming administration.
