Vice President and presumptive Democratic nominee for President Kamala Harris released a statement today (Thursday) sharply criticizing anti-Israel and anti-Netanyahu protestors who sprayed pro-Hamas graffiti on monuments and took down and burned the American flag in Washington, DC.

In the statement, Harris blasted the protestors as "unpatriotic" people engaging in "dangerous hate-filled" rhetoric. She condemned "any individuals" associated with the "brutal" terrorist group Hamas. Harris also condemned the burning of the American flag, which she said represents "our highest ideals as a nation."

Harris and her campaign were criticized for delaying their response to the incidents while other senior Democratic officials, including the White House, were quick to condemn the actions.

Vice President Harris, who skipped out on Prime Minister Netanyahu's speech to Congress on the grounds of a scheduling conflict, will meet him today in Washington after the Prime Minister's meeting with President Biden.
