In a stark warning amidst escalating tensions, Shaul Goldstein, CEO of Noga – Israel Electric Corporation System Operator, painted a grim picture of potential electricity disruptions during continued conflict.

As reported by Maariv, Goldstein emphasized Israel's vulnerability in the event of prolonged hostilities, stating, "Israel is an energy island, and that is our advantage. When I took on this role, I started researching what the real threat to Israel's electricity sector is ... The bottom line is that after 72 hours without electricity, it will be impossible to live here."

Goldstein's remarks come at a time of heightened anxiety as the conflict persists, with concerns mounting over the resilience of Israel's infrastructure under sustained pressure. "We are not preparing for a real war," Goldstein cautioned, highlighting the nation's unpreparedness for a protracted and severe military engagement. Despite these challenges, he noted some resilience in infrastructure due to significant investment in fortification.
