Watch: Iranian parliament celebrates - "We struck a blow to the enemy"

The Iranian parliament celebrated tonight's attack against Israel despite the fact that the all the missiles and drones that were launched failed to penetrate the country's borders and the few that did failed to cause any damage. The speaker of parliament claimed that, "the Iranian people have dealt the enemy a blow that will be a lesson for him."

Although some-300 drones and cruise missiles that were fired at Israel last night were shot down or failed to penetrate Israeli territory, members of the Iranian parliament celebrated the attack this morning (Sunday). On Iranian television, members of parliament were shown chanting: "Death to Israel!"

The Speaker of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Bakr Kalibaf, claimed that "the Iranian people have dealt the enemy a blow that will serve as a lesson." "The response made the hearts of our people happy. The response is a response to the Zionist crime and within the framework of the UN Charter. If Israel takes action - the Iranian response will be more severe," he was quoted as saying.

The Iranian Chief of Staff, Mohammad Bakri, also threatened that, "if Israel responds - our response will be greater compared to tonight's attack. According to him, "We sent a message to the US that if it cooperates with Israel in the next steps - its bases will not be safe."
