Keren Bartov Talks Celeb Clients, and Standing Firm on Her Israeli Identity

Kim Kardashian's Israeli facialist "I will not treat  celebrities who are purely pro-Palestinian"

Keren Bartov, the renowned Israeli facialist known for treating A-list celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Lopez, opens up about her career, her strong stance on Israeli identity, and the advice she received from her good friend, actress Gal Gadot.

In a candid conversation, Bartov reflects on her unexpected rise to fame, the challenges of balancing her personal and professional life, and how her treatments have left a lasting impression on the world's most famous faces.

The turning point in Bartov's career came when Kim Kardashian shared a glowing Instagram post after receiving one of Bartov’s signature facial treatments. What was meant to be a private visit to the celebrity's Los Angeles home quickly turned into a viral moment, with Kardashian tagging Bartov and giving her skin a glowing endorsement. The exposure, reaching 360 million followers, was valued at over $2 million, a remarkable boost for Bartov’s business, especially considering she had never expected such a public endorsement, according to the ynet report.

Recalling her experience, Bartov shared how she was taken by surprise when she woke up to an overwhelming number of messages and newfound followers after Kardashian posted about her. “I thought it was just for her to keep,” Bartov said, reflecting on the moment when Kardashian asked for a selfie with her. “I never imagined it would explode like that. It was a huge thing for me.”

Bartov, who has been treating the faces of Hollywood stars for over a decade, now treats celebrities from all over the world. Her clientele includes icons like Demi Moore, Kate Moss, and Selena Gomez, alongside her long-time friend Gal Gadot, who has been a loyal supporter from the very beginning. In fact, it was Gadot who gave Bartov the golden advice to open a clinic in London instead of Los Angeles, a decision that paid off as she quickly gained even more famous clients across the UK.

Despite her success, Bartov remains grounded. “I don’t mind who walks in the door,” she explains. “It doesn’t matter whether they’re a celebrity or not. I give my best to everyone.” This approach has earned her trust and admiration from clients who value her professionalism and the intimate nature of the treatments.

Though her work has brought her into the spotlight, Bartov does not shy away from using her platform to speak out about her Israeli identity, especially in the current climate where political opinions are heightened. “I will not treat celebrities who are purely pro-Palestinian,” she states firmly. “You can’t come to me for treatment if you want to exterminate me. It’s just not going to happen.” Instead, Bartov prefers to engage with clients who hold a more nuanced perspective, offering her side of the story while still maintaining a professional and welcoming atmosphere. “I’ve even had clients remove pro-Palestinian posts after we spoke about it,” she reveals.

Though she’s treated some of the world’s most influential women, Bartov still wrestles with feelings of jealousy when comparing her life to theirs. “I see them enjoying luxury while we’re here in Israel, dealing with hardship,” she admits. “I think about it every day. But I don’t hold it against them—they don’t understand because they don’t live here.”

Bartov’s story is one of resilience, both in her career and in her commitment to her roots. "Israel is my country, and there’s no place like home,” she concludes. Despite the challenges, Bartov is dedicated to her clients, her business, and her family. Her journey, marked by both successes and hardships, continues to inspire many in Israel and beyond.
