Special Wedding Project

"To Say Thank You": Lior Narkis in a Special Wedding Project for Soldiers

Last Thursday, the singer Lior Narkis surprised a fighter in the Golani Brigade and his sweetheart who had to postpone their wedding, and organized a surprise wedding for them together with his wife Sapir in the backyard of their home in Savyon. Following this, Narkis decided to start a new venture for the next two months, and hold weddings at his home for IDF soldiers who need it, including all expenses and organization.

"Seeing the light in the eyes of our fighters and their families is infinite happiness, strength to continue," Narkis wrote about the project, which was established in cooperation with the Savyon Chabad House and the residents of the city. Initially, Lior Narkis decided to hold one wedding every week, which would also include a performance by Narkis himself and other artists that he would hire, but this morning (Sunday) he arrived at the wedding center and decided that due to the demand he is increasing the project to two weddings a week.

"Today when I was at our complex I was so moved by the conversations and enthusiasm of the soldiers. We decided to increase the wedding project to twice a week," writes Narkis, "to see and hear our soldiers so excited is the greatest happiness, we will continue with all our strength to help our heroic soldiers and make them happy."
