A left-wing activist, suspected of sexually harassing a Border Police officer during a protest in front of the Knesset, has been found to possess illegal firearms and ammunition at his home. The protester, whose identity is currently under a court order of non-disclosure, was arrested this week on suspicion of committing an indecent act against the officer during the demonstration.

The police are seeking an extension of the activist’s detention, requesting an additional eight days to continue their investigation. The protester, who was taken into custody shortly after the incident, is facing serious charges related to the alleged harassment of the Border Police officer. However, the shocking discovery made during a subsequent search at his residence raised even more questions.

When police officers searched the suspect's home, they uncovered a cache of dangerous weapons. Among the items found were an AK-47 rifle, a carbine rifle, a stun grenade, numerous magazines, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. These findings have led investigators to probe further into the suspect's intentions and possible connections to extremist or criminal groups.

In addition to the firearms, authorities discovered a GPS tracking device—an AirTag—hidden on the suspect's person as he was processed into the Russian Compound prison. Although he initially denied having any forbidden items during intake, prison guards later discovered the device hidden in his pants. This device allows real-time tracking, which has raised further concerns about the protester's activities.

The Israel Prison Service has since announced its intention to bring the suspect to a disciplinary trial due to his possession of the tracking device and his attempt to conceal it. The discovery of these weapons and the GPS device has expanded the investigation, with authorities questioning what the protester’s intentions were and how these items might relate to his activities. As the investigation unfolds, more details may emerge regarding the protester’s ties to illegal or extremist elements.
