Heavy tragedy: Two siblings, a 5-year-old girl and a 2-year-old toddler from Zarzir village, were discovered today (Friday) unconscious and in critical condition. MDA teams performed resuscitation and transported them to Emek Hospital, where their deaths were pronounced. The police have opened an investigation, with suspicion that the two died from poisoning.
MDA paramedic Maor Atadgi and senior medic Yazid Grifaat from the MDA motorcycle unit reported that "we were brought two unconscious children. We immediately placed them in intensive care units, conducted medical examinations, and they had no pulse and no breathing. We immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts including chest compressions, ventilations, and medication, and transported them to the hospital in critical condition." As mentioned, their deaths were pronounced shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The police stated that Northern District forces arrived at the scene and opened an investigation. Northern District Commander, Major General Shuki Toha, is currently assessing the situation at the scene. At this stage, there is no suspicion of criminal activity, but the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
