**Exclusive Report:** Today, in an apartment in Herzliya, the scene was marked by intense shouting and screaming as Sigal Itzkowitz, the prime suspect in her son's murder, was brought by Tel Aviv police to re-enact the crime. Itzkowitz, who admitted to the crime and expressed remorse during her detention extension hearing, lost her composure during the re-enactment and became confrontational with the investigators. Although the re-enactment was halted before it could be completed, investigators succeeded in documenting part of it. This partial re-enactment will be included in the case materials according to channel 12 news reports.
During the police's request to extend her detention by 12 days, Itzkowitz made her first public statements, apologizing and breaking down in tears. "I regret the heinous act," Itzkowitz said. "Doron (Liam's father) financially abused me; he was a narcissist who prevented me from working; he was the sole breadwinner," she added.
At the start of the hearing, Itzkowitz admitted to the murder and apologized for it. Although a psychiatric evaluation has not yet been conducted, there is a recommendation to obtain one after the indictment is filed. The hearing also revealed that the couple had several intense arguments in recent years, three of which were reported to the police following neighbour complaints about loud disputes. Additionally, there was an incident where Sigal threatened to commit suicide with her son by climbing onto a roof in Jerusalem.
When Judge Malka inquired whether the axe, the murder weapon, was purchased jointly by the couple, the police representative confirmed it was. However, Itzkowitz indicated through the cameras used in the hearing that this was "absolutely not" the case.
