Tragedy in Modiin Illit: Man dies in a well; another rescued

Emergency responders undertake rescue efforts, retrieving two men from precarious situation; one victim pronounced dead on scene.

In Modiin Illit this morning (Tuesday), emergency responders retrieved a man in his 50s from a well on Avnei Nezer Street, where he was found without vital signs. Alongside him, a 26-year-old man was also rescued, currently in moderate condition and hospitalized at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center for treatment.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported, "Following a complex rescue operation involving two individuals, our medics pronounced the older man deceased after he was pulled out without signs of life. The younger man was immediately treated on-site and transported to Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Hospital. MDA teams remain on standby for any further casualties."
