A 22-year-old man was murdered this morning in neighborhood 18 in Rahat. This is the 220th murdered in the Arab sector since the beginning of 2023. The police say that the background to the murder is a criminal conflict between families.

The violence in the Arab sector. A 22-year-old man was murdered this morning in neighborhood 18 in Rahat. This is the 220th person murdered in the Arab sector since the beginning of 2023. According to the initial suspicion of the police, the background to the incident is a criminal conflict between families.

MDA paramedic Eden Sabag and MDA senior medic Malek Abu Arara said: "The wounded man was lying unconscious without a pulse and without breathing and suffering from penetrating injuries to his body. We performed medical tests but his injury was critical and unfortunately we had to pronounce him dead."

Khalil Zabarga, a rescue medic who arrived first at the scene, said: "Unfortunately, we have no choice but to wait for the determination of his death at the scene due to the nature of the severe injuries he suffered."

The police stated: "Upon receiving the report of the incident, the police forces of the southern district arrived and located the scene of the incident, and began an investigation while collecting findings and engaging in additional actions to locate suspects involved in the incident."
