"Zero Tolerance"

Commissioner: "There is a Limit to Incitement, We will Show Zero Tolerance"

Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai strongly criticized the incitement in support of Hamas and emphasized that the police will show zero tolerance. He stated, "It is inconceivable that after such a massacre that the State of Israel has gone through, and after soldiers are killed, some here will praise Hamas."

Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai addressed today (Tuesday) the handling of incitement to terror and the discovery of support for the Hamas-ISIS organization since the terror attacks on southern settlements.

According to Shabtai: "We have zero tolerance for dealing with incitement, and I am glad that the prosecution is working hand in hand with the police on this matter," he said. "It is inconceivable that after such a massacre that the State of Israel has gone through, and after soldiers are killed, some will praise Hamas-ISIS, and it doesn't matter to me whether it's a regular individual or a public figure."

The Police Commissioner also mentioned the ongoing vigilance of the Israel Police within cities and called on the public to continue to report anything suspicious or undermining their security to the police's 100 hotline.

As reported earlier today, the police arrested the actress and theater performer Maisa Abd Elhadi last night on suspicion of expressing praise for Hamas and spreading hate speech.

According to the police statement, Elhadi was arrested following a number of posts on social media and activity in various media outlets in which she expressed praise and incitement for the terrorist organization.

As reported, after the murderous attack by Hamas, Elhadi shared photos on social media alongside laughing emojis and the caption: "Let's do it Berlin style." Alhadi was brought to the police station, where she was questioned and arrested. Following the arrest, the Nazareth Magistrate's Court extended her detention until the upcoming Thursday, at the request of the police.

Actor Ofer Shechter, who acted alongside Elhadi, strongly criticized her on his Instagram account, saying: "I'm ashamed of you. You should be ashamed of yourself. You live in Nazareth, you act in our TV shows and movies, with us, and then you stab us in the back."

Even with all the law inforcement regarding the incitement, this is still an easygoing approach. Arabs in Israel who support Hamas should be sent to Gaza or expelled from Israel for good.
