The violence in Arab society: Two Israeli residents from Jaljulia and Umm al-Fahm were arrested this morning (Thursday) on suspicion of threatening the mayor of Nazareth, Ali Salam.
The two were arrested by the Lahav 433 unit of the police after an investigation was launched into threats made by the suspects against the mayor of Nazareth. They were brought in for questioning, and at its conclusion, a discussion on extending their arrest is expected to take place at the Rishon LeZion Magistrate's Court.
As reported earlier this week on Monday, a number of individuals were injured in a shooting incident that occurred in the city of Nazareth. The injured were taken to the Italian Hospital in the city in light condition. The municipal police officers immediately arrived at the scene, conducted searches to locate the shooting suspects, and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the case. Israel Police stated that the background to the incident is under investigation.
The injured candidate is Mussab Douhan, and along with him, his brother and his cousin were also injured. From Rambam Hospital, it was reported that Douhan arrived in the trauma room at Rambam Hospital. He is conscious, stable, and tests regarding his injury condition have commenced.
