Against the backdrop of escalating violence within the Arab sector, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened the Supplementary Committee for Combating Crime in Arab Society yesterday (Wednesday) and decided that the Shabak security service will assist the Israeli police in enforcement efforts. The meeting was held due to the significant increase in violence in the Arab streets, seemingly indicating a shift in focus by criminal organizations towards attempting to influence the outcomes of local Arab municipal elections through violence and political killings.
