The CEO of Tira Municipality was murdered in a shooting incident in the city
The police opened an investigation into a suspected shooting incident in Tira, during which, according to medical officials, 3 men were injured, one of them critically. The background to the incident is under investigation

Officers from the Tira station launched an investigation and operational sweeps following a report of a shooting incident in the city, in which one person was killed and two others were injured. The injured individuals arrived at the police station on their own and were subsequently transferred to the hospital.
According to medical sources, two of the casualties sustained light to moderate injuries, and another victim was seriously injured. At this stage, their identities are not yet known to the police, but according to several reports, the injured individuals who were shot are senior figures in the municipality, and the person who was killed is the CEO of the Tira municipality. Later on, the seriously injured individual succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the police are conducting searches for the perpetrators of the attack and locating the shooting scene, alongside collecting documentary evidence and forensic findings from the victims' vehicle, carried out by the criminal identification investigators. From the Israeli police, it was conveyed that the background and circumstances of the event are under examination.
According to the data from the Avraham Initiatives, the victim is the 151st person to be murdered in incidents of violence within the Arab sector since the beginning of the year. For comparison, during the corresponding period last year, there were 68 victims.
