Criminal Activity in the Arab Sector: Two suspects were arrested last night (between Sunday and Monday) on suspicion of firing shots towards the house of the mayor of Rahat, amid a land dispute within the family.

According to the police statement, the two individuals, in their 30s and 40s, who are close relatives of the mayor, were involved in the incident in Neighborhood 25 of the city. They were arrested for questioning and will be brought before the Be'er Sheva Magistrate's Court today for a hearing regarding the request to extend their detention.

Yesterday (Sunday), it was reported that two suspects were apprehended in Nazareth, in possession of combat gear and weapons including Kalashnikov rifles, a handgun, a Carlo submachine gun, ammunition, and grenades. The detention of both suspects in their 40s has been extended by the Nazareth Magistrate's Court until August 22, 2023.
