Concerning levels of Antisemitism in Oz
Anti-Zionist Jewish professor: "It's our duty to make Jews feel uncomfortable"
Virulent antisemitism stings differently when it comes from someone who is supposedly 'one of our own'.

The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) has launched an investigation after Professor Peter Slezak, who is Jewish, declared during an anti-Israel demonstration last Wednesday that it is a “duty” to make Jews “feel uncomfortable.” Slezak, speaking at the rally, said, “I agree with Randa when she says Jews, in particular, should feel uncomfortable and it’s our duty to make them uncomfortable,” while pointing at a Jewish student holding an Israeli flag.
Slezak, who does not work at UTS, made the comments at the event, prompting the university to investigate the hateful remarks, as reported by Australian Jewish News. Michele Goldman of the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies (JBD) condemned the statement, saying, “That anyone thinks saying this out loud is acceptable demonstrates just how big the problem is on our university campuses.” She added, “Calls for one group of Australians to target another undermine social cohesion and attack the Australian values we all hold dear. Jewish students and staff have a right to study and work without being harassed and targeted.”
Slezak, a longtime anti-Zionist, has continued his activism even after the October 7 massacre. In September 2024, he shared a post claiming, “The lesson of October 7 is that you cannot normalize and live peacefully in the context of a profound, ongoing injustice.”
In fact, if you read his posts on his X account, you will see exactly where he stands, which raises the question yet again: Why are some Jews so self destructive? Does Slezak think Hitler would have pulled him out of the gas chambers for his anti-zionist views? Because if he does, I've got some bad news for him.
