No end to his craziness

Kanye West strikes again: Spotted wearing a swastika t-shirt

The swastika shirt incident ties into broader narratives: West’s bipolar diagnosis (now self-described as autism), his support for Trump (who met him recently), and his defiance of social norms. Whether a calculated stunt or unhinged impulse, it’s kept him in the spotlight—though at what cost remains unclear as of now.

In a deliberate act of provocation that has outraged Jewish groups, Kanye West appeared in Los Angeles Thursday wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with a swastika—the same design that prompted his removal from multiple platforms earlier this month.

The rapper, who now goes by Ye, was captured on video casually displaying the Nazi symbol, which had previously featured on merchandise briefly sold through his Yeezy website following a Super Bowl advertisement on February 9. The shirt, labeled "HH-01"—widely understood as shorthand for "Heil Hitler"—was available for $20 before e-commerce platform Shopify shut down the site for violating terms prohibiting "offensive" content.

This latest incident follows West's February 6 post on X declaring "I'm a Nazi" and "I love Hitler," rhetoric that led to his account being labeled "NSFW" before its deactivation. The Anti-Defamation League condemned his actions as "instilling fear in those targeted by antisemitism."

West's provocations come amid mounting legal challenges, including a lawsuit by a former Jewish employee alleging antisemitic harassment, and commercial fallout after being dropped by talent agency 33&West. According to Forbes, the artist also requested jewelers design swastika chains on the same day as his public appearance.

Though West claimed on February 22 to have earned $40 million following his antisemitic statements, his website's closure and ongoing controversy suggest significant reputational damage to the once-influential artist, whose history of antisemitic rhetoric dates back to 2022 when he first praised Hitler and wore a "White Lives Matter" shirt.
