The European Commission imposed a €1.8 billion fine on Apple for denying apps using their services the ability to inform their users of other, possibly cheaper music subscription options outside Apple.
The fine came thanks to a complaint by major streaming company Spotify.
Apple responded to the decision by saying that while it respects the European Commission, it does not believe the facts warrant the fine and that they will be appealing.
