Reuters reports that Microsoft is set to lay off some 8% of its gaming division employees, especially in Activision Blizzard and also Xbox.

This decision comes months after Microsoft had acquired Activision Blizzard to better compete with Sony.

This wave of layoffs comes as employees of the tech sector continue to experience a disproportionate amount of downsizing, not only in the United States, but also around the world - including Israel.
