Real Madrid secured a record-breaking sixth UEFA Super Cup title with a 2-0 win against Atalanta at Warsaw's Stadion Narodowy. The match, attended by 56,042 spectators, saw Kylian Mbappé make a dream debut for the Spanish giants.

After a goalless first half, Real Madrid found their rhythm in the second period. Federico Valverde broke the deadlock in the 59th minute, tapping in from Vinícius Júnior's assist. Mbappé then sealed the victory in the 68th minute, showcasing his trademark speed to latch onto Jude Bellingham's pass before firing into the top corner.

Atalanta, the Europa League holders, started brightly with Marten de Roon's effort striking the Real Madrid crossbar early on. However, they faded as the match progressed, unable to contain Real's second-half surge.

The win marks Carlo Ancelotti's 14th trophy across his two spells as Real Madrid manager. It also sets Real Madrid apart from AC Milan and Barcelona, who have each won the Super Cup five times.

England midfielder Jude Bellingham shone in the second half, playing a crucial role in both goals. His performance, along with Mbappé's impactful debut, hints at an exciting season ahead for Real Madrid.

With key players still to return from injury and limited pre-season training time together, this victory sends a strong message to Real Madrid's domestic and European competitors about their potential for the upcoming season.
