In a pulsating finale to Euro 2024, Spain etched its name in football history, clinching a record fourth European Championship with a nail-biting 2-1 victory over England. The match, held in Berlin's iconic Olympiastadion, showcased the best of international football, with drama, skill, and heartbreak in equal measure.

The deadlock was broken early in the second half when Spain's rising star, Nico Williams, capitalized on a precise pass from 17-year-old prodigy Lamine Yamal. England, resilient as ever, fought back through Cole Palmer's expertly placed shot from outside the box, rekindling hopes of ending their 58-year major tournament drought.

But it was Spain's Mikel Oyarzabal who had the final say, tapping in a late winner from Marc Cucurella's cross to secure La Roja's triumph. The victory marks Spain's fourth Euro title, following their successes in 1964, 2008, and 2012, solidifying their status as a footballing powerhouse.

For England, the defeat echoes the heartbreak of Euro 2020, where they fell to Italy on penalties. Despite a valiant effort, including a last-gasp attempt cleared off the line, the Three Lions couldn't find the equalizer they desperately sought.

The match was not without its setbacks for Spain, losing key midfielder Rodri to injury at halftime. However, the depth of their squad shone through, with substitutes playing crucial roles in maintaining their dominance.

As the final whistle blew, Spanish players and fans alike erupted in celebration, their red and yellow colors flooding the Berlin night. For England, questions will linger about what might have been, but for Spain, the fiesta has only just begun.
