The biggest move in the history of Israeli soccer: Daniel Peretz, the goalkeeper of the Israel national team and Maccabi Tel Aviv, has signed with the German luxury team Bayern Munich in exchange for five million euros and a percentage of a future sale.

Peretz will be between the posts of Maccabi in the upcoming match in the regional league playoffs (Conference League) and then he will go to Munich for tests at the end of which he will officially sign with the German champion and one of the candidates for winning the Champions League.

In the last two weeks it was reported that in Bayern Munich a decision was made not to bring in a senior goalkeeper to replace Manuel Neuer. The German is still recovering from injury and the Swiss goalkeeper Jan Sommer also left for Inter. The Germans are interested in bringing in a goalkeeper with the potential to compete for the first goalkeeper position. If he signs, he will face Son Ulreich, who until this year was the team's second goalkeeper.

Peretz is considered the future goalkeeper of Israeli football and about two years ago he already grabbed the first goalkeeper vest at Maccabi Tel Aviv. This season, Peretz registered a leap forward and is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the league. In addition, Peretz recorded excellent performances in the Conference League, which attracted scouts from around the world to include him in their records.

Peretz came with the young team to the European Championship for young teams and also recorded an excellent tournament there that included penalty stops against the strong German team and a historic qualification to the semi-finals, guaranteeing participation in the Olympics and wonderful goalkeeping performances against the world's top players.

So far, according to many, the Israeli goalkeeper who has gone the farthest is the former goalkeeper, Dudu Aouate. The goalkeeper of the national team played in the first Spanish league between 2003-2014 in the teams Racing Santander, Deportivo La Coruña and Mallorca. Now many will keep their fingers crossed for Peretz in the hope that reaching the strong German league will promote him and accordingly strengthen the Israeli national team for the Euro qualifiers.
