Iran media outlets reported this evening (Wednesday) that Tehran’s electrical grid was suffering serious outages, probably due to a cyber attack. Social media footage shows many areas in the Iranian capital being cut off from electricity and remaining in the dark.

According to suspicions, Israelis may be behind the cyber attack. The reports claimed that an Israeli hacker group published a statement a few hours before the disruptions, writing in Hebrew and English that “Iran, Tehran? Today on 18:00, Israel time, we will surprise you. We are deep inside such that even turning the lights on at home won’t be a possibility. Get candles.”
