Chief of Staff to Troops: We Will Go Into Gaza and Win

Chief of the General Staff Herzi Halevi toured the gathering areas in the south and talked to the troops about continued fighting and the next stages of the war.

Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi arrived for a tour of the settlements and gathering areas in the south, talking to soldiers in the field about the continuation of the fighting and military readiness in the different sectors.

Halevi explained to the soldiers that it is the IDF’s duty to go into action in the Strip, and that it is the IDF’s role to bring a victory to bring a “victory which will change the equation for a long time” but based on the published documentation, Halevi did not address the matter of destroying Hamas and other terror organizations nor address its demilitarization.

The Chief of Staff also conducted tours of the combat zones and different sectors for an operational survey by commanders on the ground, during which Halevi was presented with the tactical actions taken in the field and the ongoing preparations of the operational units on the ground.
