The National Security Council has raised the travel advisory level for the Sinai and Jordan regions to level 3 and calls on Israelis to avoid non-essential travel to these countries.

Following additional assessments conducted yesterday (Friday), the National Security Council has raised the travel advisory level for the Sinai and Jordan regions from level 2 to level 3 (moderate) and calls on Israelis to avoid non-essential travel to these countries.

Regarding Jordan:

Hamas and various other terrorist organizations are calling for attacks on Israelis and Jews worldwide in the context of the ongoing war in Gaza against the Hamas terrorist organization. Additionally, there are widespread protests against Israel in Jordan due to the conflict, and there is a high level of animosity towards Israelis, particularly among the Palestinian population. Consequently, the National Security Council assesses an increased risk to Israelis visiting the country at this time. Therefore, until further notice, it is recommended to refrain from non-essential travel to Jordan.

Regarding South Sinai:

Hamas and various other terrorist organizations are calling for attacks on Israelis and Jews worldwide in the context of the ongoing war in Gaza. Additionally, it is noted that an attack against Israelis occurred in Egypt (October 8th, resulting in 2 casualties).

As a result, according to the National Security Council's assessment, there is an increased risk to Israelis visiting Sinai (including the coastal strip). Therefore, it is recommended, until further notice, to avoid non-essential travel to the Sinai.
