The President's House confirmed that President Isaac Herzog's Telegram account was hacked last night as a result of a network scam - and it is believed to be criminal activity. An initial inspection by the Shin Bet shows that there is no fear of information leakage

President Yitzhak Herzog's Telegram account was hacked last night (Wednesday) - the president's residence announced today. The issue was transferred to the Shin Bet, which carried out preliminary tests on the matter.

According to a statement from the President's House, the hack occurred as a result of a network fraud - and it is estimated that this is a criminal investigation activity.

It was further clarified that "from a preliminary examination it appears that there is no fear of information leakage. After the treatment of the professionals, the loophole was closed and the account returned to normal activity."
