The President of the country, Isaac Herzog, addressed today (Thursday) the incident in which five IDF soldiers were injured at the refugee camp in Tulkarm.

According to Herzog: "On behalf of the people of Israel, I hope for the speedy recovery of the brave IDF soldiers who were injured last night during an operational activity in Tulkarm, and I strengthen the hand of the IDF and the security forces in their efforts to combat terrorism, sometimes at great risk. Especially during the holiday season when we are with our families, it is important that we remember and express gratitude to those who protect us."

Dr. Oshrat Fono Yativ, Deputy Director of the Beilinson Hospital, stated: "Another wounded individual from the Tulkarm incident, in serious condition, has been transferred to Beilinson Hospital from Meir Hospital. The conditions of the other two wounded, one in light condition and the other in serious condition, are being closely monitored. The latter is currently in the operating room, and there is still a danger to his life."

Netanyahu: "Iran is directly responsible for the wave of terrorism in Israel"

Earlier in the political arena, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu commented on the incident, stating that the IDF and security forces will continue to operate with determination and resolve to eliminate the threat posed by the terrorists in Judea and Samaria. He also emphasized, "We see Iran as directly responsible for the wave of terrorism in Judea and Samaria, encouraging and funding murderous acts against Israeli citizens. The Israeli government will fight terrorism with determination and protect the citizens of Israel."

In the opposition, the event was also addressed. Benny Gantz, the leader of the Machane HaMamlachti party, stated: "I would like to wish a speedy recovery to the IDF soldiers from the Magav unit who were injured last night in a planned operation against terrorists in Tulkarm. The operational and offensive activity is important and critical in the face of the rise in terror events. The terrorists need to know that we will pursue them everywhere and at all times. That's how we've acted, and that's how we will continue to act."
