For the first time: An official Israeli delegation has arrived in Saudi Arabia

Minister of Communications Shlomo Karhi landed in Riyadh to lead the first Israeli delegation to visit the country. The delegation will participate in the International UPU Congress, where meetings will be held with representatives and ministers from around the world

History in Saudi Arabia: Minister of Communications Shlomo Karhi landed in Riyadh last night (Monday) as he leads the first official Israeli delegation to visit the country. The delegation includes 14 members, among them the Chairman of the Economic Committee David Bitan, the Director General and Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Communications, the Chief of Staff of the Minister and the Minister's Spokesperson, the Head of Foreign Relations, representatives from the Postal Service, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The delegation, which was accredited by a signed letter of appointment from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, will participate in an international conference taking place in Riyadh in the coming days. Members of the delegation will also meet with representatives from around the world as part of the conference.

During the visit, Minister Karhi is expected to deliver a speech before communication ministers and representatives from around the world. He is also expected to meet with the U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, the Turkish Minister of Communications, and others. The minister has also been invited as a guest to the sukkah of the Saudi blogger Mohammed Saud and is expected to visit his home.
