Murder in Jerusalem: a young man was stabbed to death in Pisgat Ze'ev

Two brothers, including a minor, were arrested on suspicion of murdering a young man in the 30s in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood in the north of Jerusalem. The background to the incident is apparently criminal

A young man in his 30s was killed today (Saturday) in a violent incident in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood in northern Jerusalem.

Magen David Adom forces who arrived at the scene on Shmuel Tamir Katznelson Street found a man critically injured as a result of stab wounds to his upper body, his death was determined a short time later at Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital where he was taken.

So far, the police have arrested two brothers on suspicion of involvement in the stabbing, including a 25-year-old man who was slightly injured - and a 15-year-old boy, according to the evidence, the background to the incident is criminal.

MDA paramedic Eldad Benstein, and MDA medics Shmuel Orlov and Shimon Zaltz, said: "We were very close to the scene and arrived immediately. We saw a man in his thirties lying on the sidewalk unconscious with penetrating injuries. We gave him life-saving treatment, put him on a intensive care van and we urgently evacuated him to the hospital as he was in critical condition. A man about 25 years old was walking on the spot, and after medical tests he did not need to be evacuated."
