A shooting incident in the Netherlands: a number of dead and injured, the shooter was arrested

Several people were killed in a shooting incident in the city center of Rotterdam, Netherlands. A 32-year-old man opened fire in a residential building and then proceeded to a nearby medical center, where he was arrested and taken in for questioning. The exact number of casualties is not known at this time

Several people were killed in a shooting incident that occurred this evening (Thursday) in the city center of Rotterdam, Netherlands, as reported by local police. The shooter, identified as a 32-year-old man, has been arrested and is undergoing questioning, while the circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

According to the police statement, the shooting incident occurred in two separate locations. Initially, the shooter arrived at a residential building in the city, where multiple casualties and at least 2 injuries were reported, alongside a fire that broke out in one of the apartments. Subsequently, there were reports of additional gunfire at a medical center adjacent to the building, where the shooter was apprehended by the police.

In the official police statement, the exact number of casualties was not mentioned. However, in Dutch media, it was reported that at least 3 people were killed in the shooting incident. The police are currently investigating whether the shooter acted alone in both locations and have called on the public to remain vigilant in the area where the shooting occurred.
