Amidst the alert situation: 367 illegal residents were caught in the activity of the Border Police

During the week, Border Police fighters caught 367 illegal residents and another 90 suspects who helped them. The Border Police stated that the activity was conducted as part of the preparation for the holiday of Sukkot and at the same time operational deployment of the fighters is being carried out in several centers throughout the country

Following the operational preparation of the security forces for the Tishrei holidays and against the background of the security alerts, this week the Border Guard fighters operated across the country and arrested 367 illegal residents and another 90 suspects in their accommodation, transportation, and employment in several different cities.

Before the holiday: fighters were deployed throughout the country

Border Police Commander Brick Yitzhak, who was closely monitoring the activities of the forces, ordered the integration of the greatest number of means and forces available to the corps, including the activation of reserve companies, volunteers, and fighters, in the concentration of the effort, all to increase presence among the citizens and improving their safety during the holidays.

In preparation for the Sukkot holiday, which will begin this Saturday, the intensive activity will continue to enforce the offenses of illegal stay in the territories of the State and borders, and the arrest of suspects in their accommodation, employment, and transportation, to thwart the entry of terrorism from the territories of Judea and Samaria.

In addition, the Border Police stated that the men and women of the corps will continue their preparation and operational deployment while focusing their efforts on the centers of friction, in crowded places as well as near synagogues, all to enable the celebration of the holiday events.

Maj. Gen. Brik Yitzchak said: "There is no doubt that the amount of work is substantial. The soldiers of the Border Police, are deployed and prepared in the various sectors and working from morning to night to eradicate and thwart crime and terrorism in the various sectors, we will continue to act all the time with determination and professionalism for the existence of the holidays, Border Police soldiers and fighters will continue to be the protective wall of the citizens of Israel."
