In the shadow of the Yom Kippur prayer disturbances storm in Tel Aviv's Dizengoff Square, News 12's political commentator Amit Segal says that the most important event of the week will happen tomorrow - at the High Court of Justice hearing on the Incapacity Law.

Segal wrote: "With all due respect to the Yom Kippur prayers, the most important moment of the week is tomorrow at the High Court about the Incapacity Law."

According to Segal: "We talk all the time about the fear that the Knesset will cancel the elections, and here is a real possibility that the court will announce the possibility of canceling the elections, that is, it will reject the application and allow the legal adviser to the government to wave for three years the canceling of the election of Netanyahu by the Knesset."

As mentioned, tomorrow the High Court of Justice is expected to hold an extended hearing regarding the detention law, after an initial hearing was held last month but it was decided to expand the composition to 11 judges. In addition, the High Court of Justice has already issued a conditional order against the law and demanded an answer from the state, regarding the applicability of the law - whether immediate or future only, in the next government.

The legal adviser to the government, Gali Baharav-Miara, published her opinion and stated that the applicability of the law should be postponed until the next Knesset, in order to avoid suspicion of personal use of the law. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu submitted his position to the petition against the fortification law and claims that judges have no authority to interfere with a basic law, certainly not a law that could remove a prime minister against the will of the voters.
