Gideon Sa'ar against Lapid, Netanyahu, and Ben Gvir: "Yes, you too, Lapid."

Gideon Sa'ar criticizes Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid and the heads of the coalition, sending a clear message to the protesters: "If you turn the protest into a battle against religion, the traditions of Israel, or our right to the land, you will fail."

Following the disruptions at the Yom Kippur prayer in Tel Aviv last night, Knesset member Gideon Sa'ar addresses the protesters, stating that if they turn their struggle into a battle against religion, Jewish tradition, or our right to the land, they will fail.

In a recent post, Sa'ar wrote, "Jews know how to hate. Former Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, may he rest in peace, told me more than once, he received heaps of hatred from all parts of the Jewish people throughout his life. Every part in its turn."

Sa'ar noted, "This saying echoes in my ears from last night following the ugly events in Tel Aviv on Yom Kippur. Following them, there were also ugly responses from Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir, and Lapid (yes, you too, Lapid!). Each of them tried to add more fuel (or a little oil) to the fire instead of trying to extinguish it. What kind of 'leaders' ignite a fratricidal war on Yom Kippur?"

"There are things that should not be a subject of dispute: we should respect the judgments of our courts. There is a place for everyone in our public space. Yes, that includes our common Jewish heritage. Those who slander and belittle religious Jews are not defending the character of Tel Aviv as a liberal and free city. It's the opposite. They don't remove barriers; they build walls between different parts of our nation."

In conclusion, Sa'ar addressed the protesters: "To my fellow fighters, my comrades who have come to defend Israel's democratic law enforcement, I say: Don't let attempts to turn the protest into a battle against religion, Jewish tradition, or our right to the land succeed. All of these will fail. There will not be a fratricidal war."
