Another embassy is on its way to Jerusalem

Prime Minister Netanyahu and President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tshisekedi, announced: Israel will open an embassy in Kinshasa, and Congo will relocate its embassy to Jerusalem.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met last night with the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, during the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

The two discussed strengthening cooperation between the countries in the fields of agriculture, trade, defense, cyber and more.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: "We just had a very fruitful conversation with the president of Congo, and we agreed that Israel will open an embassy in Kinshasa and that Congo will move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem - these are two good announcements and I think they reflect our common desire to strengthen our relations."

The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Felix Tshisekedi, said: "I confirm that we had excellent talks with the Prime Minister of Israel, Netanyahu. The talks dealt with our excellent relations and ways to strengthen those relations. We also discussed the way to bring the two countries closer together through the development of more investment projects In security, in cyber defense."

"To submit this, the State of Israel agreed to open an embassy in Kinshasa, and on the other hand, the Democratic Republic of the Congo agreed to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. May God bless the relationship between Israel and the Democratic Republic of the Congo."
