Security Prisoners Conditions

After the heated confrontation that took place earlier today on the issue of the worsening of the conditions of the security prisoners, the Prime Minister's Office clarified: "The decision regarding security prisoners will be made exclusively by the Prime Minister and the Cabinet."

Earlier today Ben Gabir and Netanyahu met in preparation for the debate, during which they separately discussed the conditions of the terrorists, the security prisoners in the Israeli prison.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant responded to this meeting by saying: "It cannot be that after a decision was made on Thursday and it was agreed to discuss the prisoners, Minister Ben Gvir makes an independent decision." In response, Ben Gvir says "It's a law that we enforce. Busy in your office, I'll be busy in mine, don't interfere in my office."

You always raise the Temple Mount

Gallant pointed out that Judea and Samaria were not under Ben Gvir's authority, but Ben Gvir replied that he was responsible for the security of the Jews and that Gallant would not interfere in his ministry. "Prisoners are not you," said Ben Gvir, "you always bring up the Temple Mount and prisoners and congregating areas. Every time you must not touch the prisoners because it can cause agitation, so you must never change their conditions. They are sacred cows."

The head of the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar, says that there are those who want the violation of the status quo, "and there are those who will have to respond in such a case. Provocations are expected in the Arab sector and it will also be more convenient for the Prime Minister in the US without a change in the status quo here." The Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, also noted that "there is a lot of gasoline on the floor. of people who are still in prisons. The matter of the prisoners should be discussed after the holidays because of that."

In response to the words of the head of the Shin Bet and the Chief of Staff, Ben Gvir replied: "In the US they will teach us how to treat prisoners. Let's learn from them how they treat prisoners. Civilian lives come first and that is precisely why the conditions of the terrorists need to be changed. The terrorists in the prisons are returning to attacks. The conception failed - the king is naked."

Ben Gvir: It will happen now

Ben Gvir continued: "When they're there it's not bad for them and it pays to go back to murder. Every time it's not the time and now of course it's probably not the time, give me one time you said it was the time. People are murdered here and you never said it was the time."

Yehuda Fox, the government secretary, suggests that the conditions of the prisoners do not have to be changed now, but Ben Gvir insists that it will happen now: "This is the law and I do not intend to break the law. This is a country of law." When Fox said they could turn to the ombudsman, Ben Gvir replied: "First time I've heard that you want an ombudsman. A vision of the end of days."

Netanyahu responded to Ben Gvir's statement regarding the law when he asked: "Regarding the law, has anyone checked how many laws are being met? A huge percentage are not being met. They don't make an issue of it and there is a sense of what the public stands for. If you want to get rid of the feeling that you are a criminal, I am ready to take it upon myself ". "We'll see if the ombudsman says that we must uphold this law," Fox replies, and Ben Gvir turns to Netanyahu: "Mr. Prime Minister, you can't break a law, I can't, we're not above the law."
