Tobi Arens Carmon, 54 years old from Binyamina, is the Israeli who was killed yesterday on a bicycle trip in Cyprus.

The late Carmon was an entrepreneur and senior manager. Among other things, she served as the VP of the Caesarea Development Company and the VP of Marketing at Tambour. Carmon is the daughter of Air Force pilot Benny Arens, whose Skyhawk plane was shot down by a Syrian air-to-ground missile during the Yom Kippur War. He managed to parachute and rejoin to the IDF forces.

The head of Binyamina local council, Itai Weisberg, commented on the tragedy and said: "I received the shocking news about the tragic death of Tobi Carmon while sailing abroad and I froze. It doesn't fit with my logic that the sporty and energetic woman I knew over thirty years ago is silent."

Weisberg said: "Tobi was an engineer, manager and entrepreneur blessed with talents and at the same time a warm 'Binyaminian' patriot like her father Benny Arens, her aunt Zvika Arens and their father before them. She was a devoted mother to her daughters and for me personally a figure for consultation on the issues of the colony and the community. My heart goes out to the girls, her husband Erez, her two brothers and her dear sister. Her premature death is a great family loss, but also a community loss for Binyamina."
