An alternative flight operated by Air Seychelles took off this morning from Dubai International Airport to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where it will collect the 128 Israeli passengers who were forced to spend the night in Saudi Arabia.
After Air Seychelles flight HM22, which was en route from Seychelles to Israel, experienced a technical issue during the flight, the pilots were forced to perform an unscheduled landing at an airport in Saudi Arabia. As a result, 128 Israeli citizens landed in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the airline company, the passengers spent the night at a hotel located within the airport premises, and they are currently awaiting the replacement flight expected to land at Jeddah Airport within the next two hours.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs underscores that they have maintained constant communication with the passengers and all relevant parties, with the aim of resolving the situation swiftly and successfully.
