Disaster in Nahal David in the Judean Desert. Many rescue and medical forces are making their way to Nahal David in Ein Gedi following a rockslide. According to initial reports, there are about 10 injured, some of them in critical condition.

The MDA stated: "MDA medics and paramedics with the assistance of a rescue unit and medical forces of the IDF provide medical treatment to a total of 9 travelers, including: a 5-year-old boy in critical condition, a 4-year-old girl in moderate condition, 4 others in minor condition including: A woman about 40 years old, a man about 40 years old, a man about 20 years old, and a girl about 12 years old. Rescue operations for some of the injured are still in progress." One of the injured was later pronounced dead.

Paramedic Lior Shasha from Magen David Adom and Emergency Medical Technician from Magen David Adom, Majahad Al-Amor, recounted: "It's a complex area. We quickly arrived at the scene, leaving the ambulances at the river's parking lot, and we walked with the medical equipment for about 25 minutes to the incident site. We identified several injured individuals who were wounded from a rockslide incident. A 5-year-old child was unconscious and suffered a severe abdominal injury, a 40-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl were fully conscious and also suffered injuries."

Together with the IDF rescue unit and medical forces, we provided medical treatment to the child and performed prolonged resuscitation efforts. The woman and the girl were categorized as being in mild to moderate condition. Four additional injured individuals arrived at the river's parking lot: a 20-year-old man, a 40-year-old man, a 4-year-old girl, and an 8-year-old boy, all injured from the stones. The girl, who suffered head and limb injuries, was classified as being in moderate condition, while the boy and the two men were in mild condition. After providing on-site treatment, we evacuated the injured using an MDA helicopter and Israeli Air Force helicopters to hospitals. Additionally, we provided care to several individuals suffering from anxiety who witnessed to the incident.

The Nature and Parks Authority said: "This morning there was a rockslide incident in the Ein Gedi nature reserve in the area of ​​the Nahal David waterfall. The reserve team and a rescue unit are treating the incident and the injured. Nahal David is closed and the hikers are being evacuated from the area. The Nahal Arugot reserve is open and so is the ancient synagogue."

The Israel Police stated: "The Israel Police received a preliminary report of a rockslide near the Nahal David reserve with several casualties on the spot. Police forces including rescue units, the air force and Hatzalah are on their way to the scene."

As reported by the IDF: "Military helicopters with forces from Unit 669 and medical personnel from the Jordan Valley Division were dispatched to Nahal David in the Ein Gedi area a short while ago to provide assistance in the rescue of those trapped."

Micha Ben Gigi, the incident manager of the IDF Command and Control Center (CHAFAK), told Channel B: "There are 15 injured individuals with various injuries. Currently, there are no severe injuries or life-threatening conditions, and there are no trapped individuals in the area."
