"Unimaginable choking silence": protest in front of Hayut's house

Activists of 'If You Will' arrived at the house of the President of the High Court with duct tape over their mouths, as a sign of protest against preventing the right-wing organizations from joining the discussion on the reduction of the Clause of Reasonability

After the President of the Supreme Court, Esther Hayut, prevented right-wing organizations from participating in the discussion about the reduction of the Clause of Reasonability on the status of 'A Friend of the Court', activists from the "If You Will" group arrived at her home this morning with duct tape over their mouths as a sign of protest against Hayut's silencing.

The activists reminded the president of her many conflicts of interest. Additionally, there was confusion about how the Association for Civil Rights and the "Adam, Teva VaDin" Human Rights Organization were approved as 'Friends of the Court'. However, for some reason, there was no room for any right-wing organization to join the discussion.

"It's an unfathomable silencing," said Matan Jerafi, head of the Mission Department at the "If You Will" movement. "By her will, the president of the Supreme Court opens the gates of the court to protest organizations and left-wing organizations. By her will, she locks the gates of the court to right-wing organizations and seals the mouths of millions of citizens. We can no longer tolerate the dictatorship of the High Court!"
