Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu decided today (Monday) to advance the scheduled security cabinet meeting to the beginning of next week. This decision comes in light of the security situation and following the shooting attacks that took place in Har Hevron and Hawara in recent days.

The originally scheduled date for the security cabinet meeting was September 10th, but as mentioned, it was moved up due to the wave of terrorist attacks. Officials in the Prime Minister's Office clarified that the decision is not related to Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir's request to advance the discussion, and that it is a decision made in light of the security tensions in recent weeks.

As reported today in Srugim, the three victims in the past two days have raised the number of civilian casualties from terrorism since the beginning of the year to the highest level in a decade. In 2014, 36 civilians and soldiers were killed in non-combat terrorist attacks (during Operation Protective Edge, 75 soldiers and civilians were killed), while this year, the number of victims has already reached 34 people within 8 and a half months.
