Ten days after the lynching incident in Binyamin, the court ordered the release from custody of Yehiel Indor, who was seriously injured in the lynching by a rock to his head and shot a Palestinian assailant to death.

Indor was hospitalized at Shaare Zedek Medical Center and underwent head surgery after suffering a massive hole in his head from a rock. Recent legal proceedings regarding his case were conducted in his absence while he was hospitalized. Upon his release from the hospital, he was transferred to the Jerusalem detention facility and due to pressure, he was later moved to the prison service's hospital.

Indor claims self-defense and that he shot at the assailant who posed a threat to his life. Initially, the police suspected him of the assailant's murder, but they will struggle to gather evidence on the matter. During today's hearing, it was mentioned that the suspicion clause was downgraded to manslaughter, and there is doubt whether even that charge will hold. Indor will be represented by his lawyers, Avihai Hagbi and Nati Rom from the Honenu organization.
